Thank you for taking the time to apply for a Summer Research Stipend in the Medical Humanities and Arts Program (MHAP). We are awarding up to 2 competitive research stipends of $2,000 each to support scholarly work for an 8-week period during the summer months. Awardees must participate in the SOM student research symposium. If awardees also submit an abstract and are chosen to present their research at either the professional meetings for the Health Humanities Consortium, the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities, or other appropriate professional organization, they will be eligible for an additional $1,000 in travel funds.

This application consists of your project proposal and a letter of support from a faculty mentor. Your complete application (including the letter of support) must be turned in by the due date to be considered for funding. If there are any questions, please contact the MHAP team.
